32 ounce crowler, filled at the brewery a couple days ago. Info on their website says 6.5% ABV, but 6.9% was written on the crowler. Served in a stange style glass, the beer pours a mahogany brown color with about an inch light tan head. Head retention and lacing are both good. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like caramel, toffee, dark fruit and herbal hops. For the most part the taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also the addition of some grainy malt flavor. Mouthfeel/body is light/medium, it's smooth and easy to drink with a moderate amount of carbonation. I liked this brew when I tried it over the weekend, so I figured I'd get some to take home. Don't see Altbiers around very often nowadays so I try them when I can. Certainly worth trying if you're in the area!
