12 FL. OZ. can
Served in a nonic pint glass
This beer pours a deep copper hue. It is topped with a couple inches of tan head that leaves some nice lacing.
Nutmeg and cinnamon spices on the nose. Earthy hops and caramel malt.
Nutmeg and cinnamon with a slight bitterness. Earthy and spicy.
Medium bodied with a slightly chalky mouthfeel
Slightly below average pumpkin ale.

I poured a 12 oz. can into a pint glass. A two inch off-white head popped up immediately. Color was a nice orange-amber, with enough cloudiness to indicate a decent amount of pumpkin mash in the mix. The nose was faint, but with typical autumn spices: a cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, allspice blend. The head trailed a lovely lacing, lasting longer than most pumpkin beers. The taste was stronger than the smell, and quite good.. the pumpkin mash has some depth to it, the spice blend is nicely balanced, and avoids the common reliance upon cinnamon. The taste is refreshing, and clear of the soapiness of lesser pumpkin brews. A touch of heat hangs on the aftertaste, but the overall impression is impressive. The mouthfeel is about where you would want it to be.. not sticky or cloying, but not watery either. A truly good, solid Pumpkin from a small Ohio craft brewery.. I drove over an hour Michigan to pick up a case of an old favorite, and picked a six pack of this on a lark.. If I knew it was this good, I would have grabbed more. It's worth searching out!
