This past Fourth of July I went to odd13 to have a pint of their FreedomFan (the beer is basic and had much better before) but instead I was chastised by the bartender. The guy is a really tall caucasian, reddish/brownish beard and looks like a Seth Rogan wannabe. The guy told me I was wrong for what I was wearing (a red hat and an American flag shirt with marijuana leaves) and I politely said agree to disagree twice. After I had my one pint and was ready to tab out the bartender continued to be verbally abusive as I tipped him. I left shaking but went back to stand up for myself and my beliefs. I gave him feedback by letting him know that he shouldn't treat his customers like cheap beer and to keep his unwanted opinion to himself . He exploded and started to argue loudly where everyone in the bar can hear and see how he is mistreating a person of color. He became very racial assuming my race and origin and try to shove down what I should believe as a Latino. His body language was threatening as he was puffing his chest up and down rapidly. I asked for his name several times but he chose to ignore me by tending to other customers until finally he said Johnson.
I came back the next day nervously to inform a manager of the incident. He passed the info along and later I receive a phone call. It was the verbally abusive bartender. He called to apologize but kept avoiding the fact of who he is in the company. His name is Ryan and he's the owner of the place. THE OWNER IS A RACIST! He said that he like to meet up at a different place to make up for his mistake. I have yet to hear back from him and it's been two weeks now. The beer has always been basic except for a few but it never stopped me from coming back until Ryan provided the shoddiest service I have ever received. Ryan doesn't care at all about his customers, especially people of color, as long as they continue to buy his sub par beer.

so far, this is my favorite beer in Colorado. The brewery is nice. Bartender was super friendly and helpful in tasting their range of beers. they have a couple things to do like fooseball (spelling?) and games. they have an outside area patio in the back, but we sat at the bar. really amazing beers. definitely expensive, even for craft beer, at $18 for a 6-pack of 12oz cans of their top seasonal brews. $11 for 4-packs of their more common beers. I still ponied up the cash.

I had been eye-balling a new brewery for a year or so in old-town Lafayette, and hoping it was a cool, eclectic brewery with interesting selection, not some old- guy pleaser that brews boring lagers , brown ales, ambers, etc. Well, man did we strike it rich in Lafayette! Odd 13 is really getting some buzz and for good reason- they are blowing it away with really popular new England style IPA's and American sours. Their cans and artwork are great and really set them apart in a liquor store. Visiting the tap room is fun and they have a family friendly setting with a cozy outdoor space. Selection is great if you like ipa's and sours- if not, don't bother, cuz that's what you get. Looking forward to see how they progress as more NE style IPA's come to Colorado!

My friend in Philly swears by the IPA's made by Odd13, so when I visited my bro-in-law who lives about a mile down the road from Odd13, I of course had to stop by and check it out.
This is a nice little brewery in "Old Lafayette", with a nice-size taproom and a big patio where you can chill, bring your dawg or your kid and eat some food from the food trucks parked there.
Nine beers on tap when I visited. I had a sample of 4 for $8: Rocky Melons (Berliner Weisse), Duraznodor Peach Sour, Pinkish Panther (IPA with guava and hibiscus) and Buzzin Cuzzin, an oatmeal stout with coffee.
I didn't love the beers (maybe they're one of these breweries that make amazing stuff during special releases?) but I had a good time at the brewery and would come back if I'm back in Lafayette.

This place is definitely on the come up. I've had quite a few beers from these guys that I like and I suspect they'll continue to improve.
The space is somewhat small but has a low-key, local neighborhood bar feel to it. There's some outdoor seating and the place is dog-friendly.
The selection leans to a lot of hops as far as I can tell, but I suspect they'll diversify eventually.

One of my favorite breweries to visit on the front range. Always friendly, welcoming service. The beers are high quality with a solid selection available on draft and cans to go. Some of the best IPAs in CO. Don't miss this one!

one of my favorite breweries in terms of beer, so i was really pumped to finally check out the place! its as good as the beer, with a huge beer garden in the back, a spot for a food truck, sprawling comfortable interior, and some of the nicest and happiest patrons out there. what a good experience! although i didnt talk to anyone who really has anything to do with the beer, the taproom chicks were nice enough, but the outside seating in the afternoon sun is where its at. maybe ten beers pouring, with a good mix of their funky stuff and more standard offerings. the prices were well below market i think, and that makes it even cooler. the layout is well designed, and it doesnt feel like just another taproom. hard to do in this market these days! when these guys first started, it was weird and not standout, but they have evolved and matured into one of the best breweries in our state, and i think its hard not to agree after a visit to the taproom. the details count a lot, and these guys have them dialed in. the new vincent van couch was a real treat of a sour beer, and the coal miners cuzzin was a cool change of pace that i have not seen in a package. cannot wait to get my butt back here drinking beer. one of my favorites in awhile. well worth the drive!!!
edit: the beer here just keeps getting better and better, especially the hoppy stuff. they have definitely risen above the riff raff and stand as one of the best in the game locally here. definitely check it out if you havent yet!

Love to play Frogger there, but not a fan of their beers.
