Piccolo Birrificio Clandestino “Villa Serena”
33 cl brown glass bottle, “da consumarsi preferibilimente entro: 31/08/20 Lotto n. 105/19”
€
Look: A slightly hazy golden body is capped by a fluffy head of white foam. Both the head retention and lacing are very good.
Smell: Bright and fresh with a strong floral note that’s backed by grassy and fruity notes.
Taste: A basic golden malt is at its heart, lightly sweet, and tempered by grassy, floral, and gently herbal hops while a stiff bitterness anchors it and leads it to an eventual dry finish. Some floral character lingers with a light touch of apple-like fruitiness.
Feel: Medium bodied and gently crisp - it’s almost too soft on carbonation but still borderline.
Overall: Italians enjoy their beers a little bit softer on the tongue, and that can be seen here in the bottle, and also in the way that they generally pour their beers “alla spina”. I have no problem with that myself but others might expect a little more carbonation. Beyond that it’s fairly flawless and quite charming in its depth of character given that it’s such a simple beer.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
