Hazy brown with a decent but quickly fading head of foam. No lacing, so it starts looking like a coke quite fast. Smell of caramel, liquorice and hops. Liquorice is quite prominent in the taste, along with hints of malt, roast and caramel. Taste is fine, though it could have been a bit more complex in my opinion. Easy to drink, albeit a bit watery. Decent "brune".

Impressive beige head. Settles in a rocky fashion. Leaves a blanket of lace. Solid brown color.
Semisweet, molasses-like aroma. There's a bit of burnt malt to the nose. Mild hop in the background.
Less sweet on the tongue and less burnt flavor as well. Some chocolate and a hop presence for balance. I note some yeast in the background. Short aftertaste of cocoa and treacle. Good average body and slightly below average carbonation.
