I am trying this beer off the tapper at the brewery as part of a four sample flight. It poured a murky opaque dark with no head and no lace. The scent had subtle hints of vanilla notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with semi sweet dark chocolate malt base and subtle vanilla presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a good beer.

Pours black with a small mocha head. The smell has a aromatic burnt malt, with some coffee and vanilla notes. The taste starts with the subtle vanilla and hits with a smoky malt. It finishes with a subtle coffee flavor into a nice aftertaste. Very dark and very smooth. A medium/heavy mouthfeel, could get thicker and I wouldn't complain as long as it stays just as smooth. Overall a good beer.
