A big, complex beer named in honor of this ale's creator, Tony Evangelista (Liz's Dad). An avid Belgian beer drinker/brewer, this is truly his masterpiece beer after a lifetime of exceptional brewing.
Tasting Notes: Rich, dark, and complex. Malty sweetness gives way to notes of figs, plums, raisins.

Pours a dark brown in color with a teeny head. Nose is toasted caramel, possibly roasted pecans. Taste highlights the malty notes. Nice warmth as it goes down, but not overwhelming. Great quad.

From the growler via the brewery in a snifter. This solid quad pours a
ruby tinged brown with a fain fizzling head of off white foam that settles
to a thin ring. Nose of dates, fig, Belgian candy sugars, and light herbal notes
of coriander and faint clove amidst brown sugary goodness. Flavors surpass
the nose nicely with date, fig, yeasty esters of light banana and clove, coriander,
dark raisin bread, and light vinous notes. Nice mouth feel; light carbonation,
smooth, medium body, and a sweet lightly dry finish.
Overall, a great brew from a solid brewery that deserves more attention!
Cheers

This one pours dark brown with a reddish hue and no noticeable head. A nice aromatic smell, complex, with a healthy dose of yeast, sweetness, malt and fruit notes. The taste is just as complex as the smell, lots of flavor going on here. The fruit and malt come through at first, almost like a belgian barley-wine, the fruit stays in the mix and some nice yeast notes kick in. The high ABV isn't hidden, but it isn't annoying. The flavors finish strong, a smooth almost heavy mouthfeel, and tons of tastes that add depth to this beer. Overall a great sipping beer, lots of flavor and depth.
