Pours a rusty dark orangish brown with an off white head that faded fast. The smell is mostly made of malt, with some subtle sweet and spice notes. The taste has elements of spice with a very strong malt backbone, very good flavor, didn't shy away from making a statement. Medium body, mostly smooth body, which is good considering the flavor. Overall a strong flavored beer, another really good beer from Staas.

First batch keg tapped on 9/26/2013 around 6:00 PM.
This was the much anticipated Oktoberfest-style beer from Staas, and it did not disappoint. It poured a medium-bodied golden amber with a 1/4" to 1/2" white head into a 12 oz pint glass. Some of the typical Oktoberfest aromas, but with the addition of some Belgian yeast esters. The esters really add the Staas touch and gave the beer the sweet, dense fruit characteristics found in some of the other brews from Staas.
This is an incredibly sessionable beer. Perfect for a fall day in Ohio. Another winner from Staas.
Prost!
