On draught, A dark pour with a low retention head, very little lacing.
The dark caramelized malt flavor, mild molasses and dark coffee notes, are fairly robust in comparison to aroma and other attributes, carbonation is also a little weak.
A light-medium bodied brew with a fairly enjoyable finish.

12 ounce can poured into a nonic pint glass.
A decent enough smooth and creamy Milk Stout except for a soap-like off flavor that kind of ruined it for me. It also seemed under carbonated.

Sampling a 12 oz can poured into my snifter at cellar temperature. Picked up at a store on a recent trip to West Virginia.
The beer pours a rich cola brown with a creamy beige head of 1 cm that foams up and fades to a sturdy edge layer and one wispy island in the center of the glass.
The aroma is malty and features some roasted notes a little chocolate milk and some brown sugar. No hop profile here.
Fist sip reveals an average to light body with fine tingly, but spacious carbonation. This beer drinks very easy and has sessionable physical traits.
Flavor is similar to nose advertising with some roasted notes and brown sugar mixing together. I also get a bit of a sweet latte note that lingers a bit after the swallow. Again, no hops to speak of here. The beer also has no hint of alcohol and at 5.2% this makes sense.
I find this to be an easy drinking milk stout and enjoy it but do wish it had a little more body to it and that the flavor was more robust. Good brew.

Not sure what went wrong with this given the high ratings, but there was a strange metallic and slightly sour note that completely ruined what may have otherwise been a nice milk stout.

12 oz can, no date
Pours jet black, with thin tan head that quickly fades. Aroma is sharp and sweet. Taste is a bit acidic and milk chocolate at once. Medium bodied.

Pours with a very dark brown color and quick dying head. Nose consists of light roasted flavors but is quite faint.
Satisfying stout taste but not overly flavorful or exotic. There is a rich creaminess to the aftertaste and the milk character is duly noted, but this is almost a "stout lite" compared to most stouts I have had the pleasure of sampling. Flavor is more proounced in as typical Guinness or Murphy's. Texture is light as well, almost more like a shwarzbier.
Fine enough, but not really what I am usually looking for in a stout on a 28 degree night like tonight.

Poured from the bottle. Dark, dark ruby-black color, clear, with basically zero head. Lots and lots of lacing on the glass. Smells hardly of anything, but sweet and a bit chocolatey. Tastes quite sweet, a bit of vanilla and chocolate-coffee. Feel is very smooth and medium bodied, surprisingly refreshing. Overall I'm glad I tried it, a great beer to have after an autumn hike.
