Hopefully this is correct beer but I am reviewing "Antietam Kriek" from a can that is a collaboration between Antietam brewery out of Hagerstown MD and Abolitionist Ale Works out of nearby Charlestown, WV. This has the characteristics of a kettle sour (not barrel aged wild). Aroma is slightly sulfuric/rotten eggs, typical of kettle sours and not the barnyard funk of a true wild ale. With that said it is a nicely balanced beer, cherries are noted in flavor with a hint of sour tartness but relatively subtle. I thought this was a pretty respected beer for what it is.

Had on tap. Listed as a wild ale, not a lambic. Either way this beer is rough. A kriek that pours hazy yellow... first red flag. Smells faintly of sour cherry, with oak being more powerful and yeast too for that matter. Taste was a simple sour oak beer, with a hint of cherry, belgian yeast, and dirt. Feel is clean and sour, but not powerfully so. Just very meh
