Poured from a gray wax topped bomber into a tulip. 'A Belgian style trippel with agave aged in Mezcal barrels' as per the bottle description.
L: Cloudy brown golden pour. 2 fingers of foamy white head. Thin rim of lacing.
S: Boozy... tequila/agave. Sweet fruit.
T/F: Strong tequila presence (the Mezcal and agave no doubt). Sweet fruit... slightly tart. Complex and tasty. Not a lot of typical Tripel character or yeast. More booze and fruit. Warming... hides the ABV somewhat but definitely present. Medium bodied. Aggressively carbonated. The finish is Mezcal.
O: Very tasty beer... big and boozy. Not much of a tripel to be honest but love that they used Mezcal barrels... I've never seen that done before. If you enjoy tequila barrel beers then you'll enjoy this.
