330ml bottle. Snifter glass. Vinious notes as cap is removed – close to style. Very dark amber color, quite black, headed by beige crown. Sticky ring is left while crown fades. Roasted, herbal, grape, black currant & berry aromas rounded by dark cocoa on the back. Malty & caramelized upfront is touched by dark fruity notes. Medium to full body. Moderate carbonation. Velvety & unctuous palate is lightened by caramelized watery hues & spicy notes. Dried nuts, coffee infusion hues, dried malts & bitter flavors arise in the middle & join intense hints of sweet fruit then linger into a long sweet but no-cloying finish. Gentle heat on the aftertaste & memories of minty-licorice candies. As it warms, gentle brandy notes are shown to the nose. Complex & flavorful beer with smooth drinkability, for a paused drink, suggested for dark malt lovers as well as for those who enjoy high ABV profile. Nice pairing with grilled meat.
