Not sure if this is the same beer as others here because it says it's retired but I just picked this up at a local liquor store.

I'll give it a review anyway. This is a 5% lager from Quinas Original from Portugal.

It meets the characteristics expected of a lager. That is, crisp, clear gold colour, carbonated and light. It pours a nice head with a residual throughout the session.

Cereal, straw and light malt aromas (and even a perfumery scent) prevail. Same with the taste but it has a bit of a lingering strange 'wooden' finish.

It's ok to good overall. Nothing memorable.

An unlabeled bottle direct from the brewery thanks to M.A. Big ups! A pale sparkling gold pour, with a fizzy and short lived white fizz. Nose of pale malts, some straw, weak hops and grass. Tastes of weak sweet grains, faint hops, a bit of grass/hay. Pretty standard fare. Quick and fizzy. My understanding is that this will be available at Rei Dos Leitoes Portuguese restaurant in London very soon.

Had one of these at a Portuguese restaurant about two blocks away from the Brewery. The label is a Portuguese Flag. I think this was produced for the Portuguese community to comemorate Portugal making it to the World Cup this year. But anyways, on to the beer.

It poured a pale yellow into the glass with a little bit of head, fairly average. The smell was pretty natural, reminiscent of some of the better mass produced blonde ales out there, no chemical or adjunct smell which was nice. This too was reflected in the flavor. This brew has a nice malt bite in the beginning, which slowly dissipates to a smooth finish. Clean, smooth and pretty easy to drink. I'm disappointed that this was a limited run as this brew is actually pretty decent.
