look: 3.75 | smell: 4.25 | taste: 3.75 | feel: 3.5 | overall: 3.75

Jet black with amber highlights and loose tan froth.
Plenty of fresh, leafy hops on the nose along with some char.
Ash, licorice and raisins, with musty grapefruit, some wood oil and grassy hops.
Herbal finish and Ricola linger.
Lt-medium, lively, slight chew.

Labelled "Vine a Fer Cervesa," a brewing demonstration conference in Spain, so I'm assuming this beer was made for or at that event. Sorry, can't read the label!

Vanguard, Amarillo, Fuggles + Citra hops.

Heavy hitter - big roast and agressive hops. A bit thin and fizzy to hold up under all that flavor. First time I can remember trying Vanguard; there is some noble spice.

Bold if flawed.
