Nice and roomy interior-they have retained some of the old Melvin's Steakhouse beams and floors. Nice and open with a large bar right in the center of the place. Around 12 to 15 taps with 3 of their own brews-more on that in a bit.
Great service-the girl at the bar could not have been any nicer or attentive. New enough about beer that she could provide any direction for a non beer drinker if needed.
Nice selection though only 3 of their own beer. A blonde, a copper ale and an IPA. Around another 10 or so local brews on tap as well as some other nore "national" brands like Sam and Sierra Nevada. The blonde was very tasty and the IPA a decent effort as well. I would put them a notch above my first try at the other new guy in town Shorebilly's.
Decent menu, I am assuming it is much like their bayside place right down the street. Had cheesey/bacon tater tots and some swet chili spiced wings. Pub grub sort of menu. The bangers and mash that some other folks had looked and smelled great though.
Nicely priced but I think it was happy hour from like 2 to 5 during the day. My pints were $3.25 each. A decent addition to the local beer scene though with so many choices in OC and along the busy main drag they might have a bit of a problem. Barmaid said they have been very busy since opening. Their bayside location of the restaurant has a great outdoor bar-I could see these beers being enjoyed there for sure.
