Last week i was in Belgium to pick up some Westvleteren and after that a jump to Struise. No one there, only Urbains missus. She told us there was a nice farmers festival in a tiny little place called Westouteren. So we went to this festival where they had free food and free beer! Got this bottle from the brewer, Jef Pirens.
Drank it last night after graduation of one of my daughters. Poured in my Struise glass this beers starts very well well with a big head and a fluid wich was darker then expected. The hops are doing it in this beer. Nice bitterness and mouthfeel. Good IPA!
