We stopped at 12Degree during a small tour of all beer places in Louisville. This brewpub is located inside a building with many other business, including a cool record store right across the hallway from the brewpub.

The space is large enough to accommodate the weekend evening crowds without getting too loud or crazy.

They had 12 taps when I visited: 48 Peaches and 48 Hours (variations of a blonde ale), Inconceivable IPA, Grapefruit Express Pale Ale, Velour Fog Quadrupel, Soleil Saison, Foxx Rouge Dark Strong Ale and more... I wasn't too impressed by any of their beers (nothing groundbreaking or interesting-piquing), but they were decent enough.

The pizza we had, though, was legit AF! Good price ($12) and damn delicious. We also ordered a chocolate tasting to go with our beers, which I think is one of the coolest things I've ever found at a brewery.

Definitely worth a visit if you're in Louisville or around.

V-Twelve Degree has a nice, medium-small space in downtown Louisville, a suburb of Boulder. The vibe is a mix of suburbanites and tools like me visiting from Denver or Boulder. The layout is less industrial than many spots, with a nice patio on "main street" instead of a parking lot and industrial complexes. Inside, there is a small-medium bar with a few tables and some brewing equipment in back.

Q-This place focuses on the Belgian styles and makes no bones about it. I enjoyed each of the home brewed styles that I tried. The saison easily one of the better around and the Belgian IPA was quite tasty too.

Ser-Our servers were friendly, knowledgeable, and prompt. My glass (a proper tulip style) never went empty, but the staff wasn't intrusive either. Above average and low on the brewer-bro quotient, i.e., no neck-beard, dismissive hipster attitude, which is nice.

Sel-The tap list was heavy on the saison and lighter styles, which is OK since it is June. Twelve Degree serves mostly Twelve Degree beers, which means Belgian styles. I'm good with that, but if you want a peanut-butter stout or something, you better look elsewhere. They had a pair of guest taps (Jolly Pumpkin and something else that I can't remember).

F-I did not eat a meal, but the soft pretzels left a bit to be desired.

O-This is one of the best places for Belgian beers that I have tasted in Colorado (the few that top Twelve Degree are probably Funkwerks and New Belgium). The vibe and space are nice and I would readily come back.

had a really good time here yesterday afternoon, sitting outside on the sidewalk watching the sun go down and chatting it up with some locals. centrally located on main street in lousiville, you really cant miss it. very mellow vibe here despite the place being real busy. it looks brand new, everything in its place and fitting the colorado taproom motif. a whole bunch of cool belgian beers on tap. i had a belgian golden called legal nelson that was a nelson hopped bright beer, very tasty although not the best example of nelson hops out there. the other one was called crimson fog, and its a quad on plums in pinot noir barrels. it was the best beer here, and one of my favorite colorado beers of this year. totally impressed with the quality here. people were friendly but maybe a little under staffed, so i didnt realy chat with anyone working. looked like a nice food menu too, but we didnt eat. this is definitely a place we have circled on our list to revisit, as all of the beer was excellent and the vibe was very comfortable. they should package a few of these in bombers.

My wife and I have been here four times now, and have brought friends the last two times we visited. This time we ordered food, and enjoyed a basket of outstanding frites (with large granules of kosher salt, which I like a lot. Non-salt lovers can brush it off easily, but there's still enough of it for us salt lovers to appreciate). We also ordered a flatbread pizza, which was also great.

But the beer is what we enjoy the most. I like the fact that none of the styles are over the top. All of their beers, in my experience, have been well balanced and drinkable, whether it's a white ale or a Belgian strong. Their sour beer had just a hint of brett character, balanced by a pleasant tartness. I haven't had anything from them that I didn't like. I even liked their Belgian IPA, a style I don't usually care for.

And it's right on Main Street in old town Louisville, so you can't beat that.
