I bought a bottle of Staropilsen Dark for $2.69 in Glendale, CA/USA.
Look: Staropilsen Dark had significant foam.
Smell: Staropilsen Dark had an aroma of molasses and barley.
Taste: Staropilsen Dark had a bland taste of watered down kvass with hints of grain.
Feel: Staropilsen Dark was almost flat with vague hints of bubbles.
Overall: I would strongly avoid Staropilsen Dark. I would not Drink Staropilsen Dark even if it was given to me for free!

Poured from a green 16.9 oz. bottle. Has a cola color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of cocoa, dark malts. Taste is the same as the aroma, hints of licorice. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall I deducted points because it just doesn't drink like a Czech pilsner.

Pour looks good, with a heady cap of cocoa foam atop the coffee cola colored beer. Roasty notes on the aroma, with a roasty coffee character on the sip. A well executed dark lager.
