For all the hype about The Hoppy Monk, I'm lucky to have found this place. It was around lunchtime and I was headed to HM only to find it was closed. This place was on my radar for the craft beer, it was open, and the food seemed to have good reviews, so I slid across the street.
I'm glad I did.
The lamb burger, right off the bat, is very tasty. It took a while to come out, but c'est la vie. It's worth it. Trust.
Now the beer selection here, well it's quite on point. Hoppy Monk overshadows this place, but that really shouldn't be the case. The beer I was most excited to find at Hoppy was Prairie Bomb! which does not make its way to New Mexico. Table & Tap had it too. Oh but wait, they also had Prairie Bible Belt, which is like seeing and raising Hoppy's bomb. Plus they had a special while I was there that got me Alaskan Brewing's barleywine from the tap for all of $3. Worrrddd? I'll take it.
This place is a gem for all those that can pull themselves away from The Hoppy Monk. One criticism here, the prices for bottled beer are equally as egregious as those across the street.
