A pint on tap at the brewery on 5/31/17 served in a chalice glass.
Look- A dark orange with a brownish tint. There's a generous finger of creamy white foam that slowly fades away revealing a little lacing.
Smell- Caramel malt, floral notes, citrus and some mild onion/garlic.
Taste- Orange zest, grapefruit, floral esters and some chewy malt in the finish.
Feel- Thick, chewy and resiny for a pale with a considerable hop bite.
Overall- A beer that drinks pretty big for the style both in taste and feel. Solid fruity/floral hop presence with a resinous feel makes this one worth trying when in Valpo.
