On tap at the third anniversary party on Aug. 13th and served in their hour glass footed snifter.
Look- A hazy caramel brown with a couple of centimeters of light tan foam.
Smell- Brown sugar, molasses, dark fruit consisting of figs, raisins, and plums. Char and Cognac emerge in the back.
Taste- Dark fruits with figs and raisins to begin along with some dark cherry. Smooth caramel and toffee in the middle followed by a boozy dose of cognac and some char in the finish.
Feel- A slight tingle to the tongue followed by a warming dose of alcohol.
Overall- A nice change of pace from barrel aged stouts. You can definitely pick up the cognac in this beer. Worth a sample if you're in the area.
