Poured into a Celebrator pokal. Pours a medium to dark orange-golden amber with a two finger white head with great retention and solid lacing; looks nice. Aroma of bready and faintly caramel malt, grassy hops, vague fruit and wafts of toffee. Flavor follows, with faintly caramel and bready malt, some kind of light fruit I can't identify and mild grassy hops. Medium bodied with light to medium creaminess. Has the basic malt profile I'd expect from the style, but perhaps not as deep in flavor. There is a unidentifiable fruit note that is somewhere between citrus and light stone fruit, but subdued. Mild hops. A mellow and drinkable domestic take on the style, but needs a bit more malt depth for my taste. Looks really nice and it's color depth promises a more robust bock. Satisfactory.

From Beer Drop, canning date is offline; I can't read the month.

It pours a clear gold with a fine layer of foam, very good lacing.

The smell is bread, some caramel malt, hints of fruit and hops.

The taste is bread, grain, caramel malt, weird bitterness that does not strike me well.

Good mouthfeel but this is not for me.

Excellent two-finger, tight head. It recedes more on the quick side, leaving some smaller streaks on the glass as it goes down. The liquid looks like bright, clean copper. Clear.

Semi-dry caramel and toasted white bread are the first smells I pick up. No notable hop...not that I was expecting any for this style. Clean and refreshing nose.

This is a bit like a souped up Oktoberfest beer. Plenty of semi-sweet crystal malt. Quite rich in body which is counteracted with a higher level of carbonation. There is some subtle hop in the finish which carries through to the shorter aftertaste. There's also a touch of warming alcohol post-swallow. Overall, this is an easy beer to drink and a good introduction (read: milder) to the style.

A vibrant dark orange color. Small off-white head that disappeared quickly.
Fruity, sweet malt aroma.
Taste starts off rather boozy, then I get some fruit and a lot of malt. Some faint floral hops.
Medium-bodied. Very malt forward.
