Poured from tap into nonic pint at the brewpub in st catherines Ontario. Pours a hazy orangey color with a finger of white foam and sticky lacing. Nice pine hop and bready malt aromas...a bit of fruity hop. Taste is mild maltyness and lots of piney hop. All pretty typical of the style. Its a bit overly bitter but overall a nice ipa.

On tap at the Merchant Ale House in St. Catharines. Pours a copper-orange colour with a finger of white head. Some lacing down the glass. Smells of floral and citrus hops with a small amount of caramel malt. Nice bitterness level, more on the mild end of the American IPA spectrum though. Medium bodied carbonation. Solid IPA, I'll definitely have this again.

This beer is not retired, is is one of thier regular beers. There is no reason why this beer (or some of the others) should be listed as retired.
It was served too cold but was very nice when it warmed up a touch.
Orange/golden colour with a solid head on it. Some lace.
Smells delicious. Fruity, citrusy hops. Pine and some grassy aromas too. A hint of malt.
Tastes like it smells. Fruity citrusy, pine, grass. Good bitterness that lasts into the finish. Enough malt to balance it out.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied, carbonation was a bit high (i've had it when it was lower though).
Good drinkability.

Visited this pub while staying in St. Catherines for Canadian Henley. Had a few beers and dinner at this great pub. The beer is in a 12 oz glass and cold slightly cloudy copper hue with tightly packed off white head on surface. Lattice develops as head recedes. Aroma is light caramel but mostly sappy pine and cut grass too. First sip reveals an average body with very fine tingly carbonation that tickles my palate. Flavor is caramel and a hint of roasted malt then kicks to some grassy and grapefruit rind astringent hops. Not over the top or all in my face but definitely hoppy. Nice IPA good drinker on a hot day.

The aroma was dominated by the hops, which is what I would expect from a good IPA. Aromas of pine, and citrus were there.
One finger of head (off white in colour). Poor head retention. Copper/ amber in colour.
It tasted nice. Good hop flavouring; grassy, a little bit of citrus. Good hop bittering too. Enough malt to stand up to the hops so it is not getting ridiculous.
Mouthfeel is good. Semi-fine carbonation (considering this is not a cask ale). Lighter side of medium bodied.
Overall, I like it...I will drink it again.

I enjoyed this one. Decent IPA with grapefruit hop taste and aroma. Moderate head and some lacing, handsome dark apricot colour, nice lingering bitterness - an attractive and tasty beer.
A decent beer in the middle of Niagara wine country - a rather rare find as near as I can tell.

Best of tasting, probably the best beer in the place. Fresh IPA. Grapefruit colour, aroma, and taste. Dry leaf you can taste, but malty backbone makes this very drinkable. If you can bottle this. Suitable carbonation. Lace. Would hold up with several good IPAs. Had a second glass.
