Thin head on a slightly hazy deep amber body without much lacing. Aroma of toasted and caramel malts, nuts and hints of chocolate. Flavors are similar but with a nice sharp earthy hop presence. Medium body and moderate carbonation. This is a very complex brown ale with a nice degree of hoppiness. One of the better beers from this brewery.

An average brown. Some nuttiness to the taste. Malty but with some metallic notes that appear after warming. Texture is watery. Color is on the reddish side for a brown. Good head and retention. Fair lacing. Average aromas strength but with nothing offputting. Low carbonation. Keep working at it Florida Beer. It is nice to see you available in more locations.

Brewed by shipyard brewing co for native brewing
Served in wine glass
A: shallow, fizzy head w no lacing
S: toasted malts, toffee and caramel, slight herbAl notes
T: steely, not very flavorful, very dry. Completely at odds with the nose. Generic hoppy malts on side of tounge. Aftertaste is steely. Perhaps this one is overly attenuated ?
M: thin with medium carbonation, too tinny on the balance.

Drinking in a pint glass, poured from a cold 12 oz bottle
A- Brown body with amber edges light tan ring head that stays down the glass w/ no lacing. a common looking brown ale, lacking in head.
S- most noticeable is nutty from roasted malts but hoppy spice is in the background, overall a light smelling ale
T- Very hoppy brew brown ale, carbonation on the tongue distracts from initial taste and is followed by the spicy hop flavor. some malts balance the hops but it they still dominate the flavor. ends oily hop and roasted aftertaste on the tongue.
M- Carbonation is what makes the mouthhfeel, as bubbles burse on the tongue with every sip giving it a creamy faux-medium body. some palate dryness from hop character.
O- could definitely be a session beer but I'm glad i bought this beer single, for me it is too hoppy a brew if i'm wanting a brown ale. I prefer for a more balanced malt while appreciating the bitterness as well. However i see how this would be a hit with the hop-headed brown ale drinker.

Preface: BEST ENJOYED BEFORE 12/2011 on the label
Appearance - Solid dark brown with ample carbonation bubbles traveling upwards, frothy head with a mixture of brown and white hues that has modest retention leaving behind adequate suds on the side of my glass; once viewed against a light source the appearance changes to a more amber red hue that fades towards the top
Smell - Malty notes with a charred wood aroma infused with chocolate and pecans
Taste - Light bodied blend that has an all most undetectable bit of hops and sweet malt flavor that conceals just the right amount of alcohol
Mouthfeel - A pleasant and refreshing mouthcoating leaves a sweet aftertaste; uniform slipperiness and smoothness transition into a thin desirable sheet of wetness
Overall - Great potential for a session beer and highly recommended if you enjoy the English Brown Ale style

Poured a leather-couch brown with one-finger head that dies quickly and leaves some lace. Decent smell of caramelized and other sweet malts like cocoa, and has some roasted malt as well as minor citric hops. Smooth, creamy, light-to-medium bodied. Nioce sweetness to the taste as it passes over easy, almost slick. Nothing exceptional here but this is a sweet drink with caramel and chocolate malt notes (light on the tongue) balanced with some hops for an easy-drinking beer that has a nice, dry finish. Not bad at all; sessionable.

Recieved this courtesy of AgingWarrior. Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a pint glass.
Appears a dark copper-brown with a one inch off-white head that sinks down to a skim. Leaves good lacing behind.
Aroma is has caramel malts, some nuttiness, a bit of chocolate, and some clean English hop aromas.
The taste starts with some sweet caramel flavors, a bit of butter toffee, and midway through a very light chocolate followed by some earthy and mildly spicy hops.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied very nice and creamy.
One of the better English style Brown Ales that I've had. Nice sweetness is balanced by that light chocolate nuttiness and some hops at the end, good stuff.
