Had on-tap at Falling Down.
Given the somewhat ashy flavor of this, I think the name "campfire" is actually appropriate here. It could have meant a s'mores sort of flavor, but the ash works too. Anyway, a decent brown ale... nothing that will blow your mind. The smell gives of a toasty/roasty sort of malt aroma, and the taste is similar, until the finish where there's a char flavor. Pretty tasty, but nothing particularly worth seeking out. The active carbonation and thin body make this an easy drinking brown ale. The thing that sticks out to me, again, is that ash character, which makes this unique from most other browns I've had in the past.
