This beer pours a fairly clear golden color. The head is pretty frothy, and thick. It lasts a long time. The nose has got fruity, and citrusy smell to it. It also has an earthy feel to the nose. The taste of this beer is tart. Fruity. It has a lighter feel, which is good for a hot day like today.

from a 500 ml into a nonic
a: massive 5 foamy puffy head that took me 5 minutes to pour, sitting on top of a hazy golden cinnamon, good sticky lacing
s: wow, this is awesome. slightly burnt caramel, some earthy funk, pear, lemon, orange peel, pepper, coriander..
t & m: doesn't have the depth or layers the nose has, but still quite pleasant. perfect balance between non-cloying sweet, earthy, and spicy...and the spiciness at the end lingers. moderately dry on the finish. great stuff.

500ml into teku:
Huge 2-3 finger white fluffy head that has great retention, leaving nice sticky lacing on the glass right away. Pours a beautiful hazy golden orange color.
Hits the nose with big citrus notes - orange, orange peel, a bit of sweet lemon peel, and peach. The fruit is supported beautifully by a caramelly sweet maltiness as well as some black pepper, coriander, and ginger notes. Really awesome, complex nose here!
A prickly effervescence yields spicy, yeasty notes of orange, lemon peel, pineapple, peach skin, coriander, pepper, and a grapefruit. A lot of complexity here. FInishes drrryyyyy with a touch of brett funk on the back end that is a really nice cap to a great mouthfull.
Overall, I didn't expect such complexity here! The yeast have really shined through, leaving a nice multi-faceted flavor profile that is enhanced by just a bit of brett funk. Could drink this allll day.

500 ml bottle into tulip glass; batch 51, bottled 7/30/2014. Pours slightly hazy golden orange color with a 2-3 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Dense foamy lacing lings around the glass, with a large amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of lemon, lime, orange zest, pineapple, mango, pear, apple, pepper, wheat, cracker, herbal, grass, light funk, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast and light-moderate pale malt notes; with good strength. Taste of lemon, lime, orange zest, pineapple, mango, pear, apple, pepper, wheat, cracker, herbal, grass, light funk, and yeast earthiness. Good amount of earthy yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, lime, orange zest, pineapple, mango, pear, apple, pepper, wheat, cracker, and herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish for a short bit. Damn nice complexity and robustness of fruity/spicy yeast and light-moderate pale malt flavors; with a great crisp yeast/malt balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. A fair amount of dryness on the finish, but not too dry. High carbonation and light-medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and slightly bready mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent Belgian pale ale. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast and light-moderate pale malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Pours a copper hue with a huge, mountainous head that continues to grow above the rim of the glass and that was slow to fade. A very bubbly beer.
Aroma is lot of fruit with some yeasty Belgian funk.
Taste is really nice, some citrus fruit, a bit of that yeasty Belgian funk and a nice, finishing bitter dryness.
The mouthfeel is medium and well-carbonated.
Overall, a tasty and refreshing beer. The bottle says this is their version of an abbey table beer. I sure wouldn't mind drinking this daily. Very nice.

Served in a Tulip Glass
Eyes
A huge foamy white head erupted off of the pour… we’re talking three to four fingers deep here! The head slowly collapsed and left an impressive amount of bubbly lacing. Dark golden body with an orange glow.
Nose
Notes of citrus blended with Belgian yeast.
Mouth
Good hit of citrus up front. Lemon, orange, and lime. Mild but noteworthy presence of spiced yeast tamed the fruity flavours, creating a slightly bitter peppery finish. High carbonation. Medium body.
Overall
Very good sessional Belgian beer. Great flavours that did not overwhelm one another.

Pours on the lighter side of burn orange with a fair amount of haze and a fluffy finger and a half head. Smell has aromas of candied sugar a good Belgian yeast aroma that smells faintly of apples and pears. Some straw like grainy malt is also present on the back end. Taste follows the nose with more Belgian candied sugar up front a slight pare presence and a bigger yeast flavor that follows. Tobacco peppercorn and grainy semi sweet malt on the back end. Light in body and moderately carbonated. Dry and crisp in the finish.
