Pours dark brown with no head or carbonation.
Huge blueberry and chocolate malt smell, cinnamon and spice.
Taste follows nose in which spice and juniper slap you in the face! Bourbon hits hard as well. Not one I could drink a lot of.

Midnight black body with some light gray surface lacing, body shimmers in light. Smell is chocolate liqueur with a ton of bourbon, some molasses, licorice and raisin, stupid boozy. Taste is also stupid boozy, a rare case where the beer is better before it warms up. Has belgian chocolate richness up front before the bourbon kicks in, like a chocolate with bourbon on the inside is what I think they were going for, but its too much. Too bad because the subtle flavors: raisin, vanilla, licorice, wood and molasses are very fine. Feel is heavy, and mostly boozy.

Taste: darkest bittersweet, chocolate, bready, malts, raisins, dark fruit, woody, Belgian yeast, big boozy bite. Same with the nose. Black, opaque, smaller head and lace due to barrel aging. Full body. Hammered me good.
