Had a pour at Une Annee. Fairly unique beer - almost creamy mouthfeel, which I find uniquely great for this type of beer. It has incredible lacing in the pour, which is a dark purple. The fruit is very raspberry-esque even though it’s black currants. Somewhat sour up front, but I’m guessing this died down a bit since it was released - the vanilla hits at the end and offers a nice sweet balance to the tart.

Enjoyed on draft, now rating from a bottle. This rates as one of the best sours I've ever had, and it is extremely tart. Pours thick and a deep violet-red, like a red wine but richer and more opaque, with half a finger of pink head. Acidic on the nose, but with great currant notes, no discernible butyric acid or funk, and hints of vanilla. Sharp on the palate, with vanilla and malty sweetness that comes in occasionally near the finish to provide some balance. Good barrel character as the beer warms. Fantastic.
