Appearance - The beer was violet in appearance with a white head.

Smell - Blueberry really came through in the nose, but the lavender and tea provided floral notes.

Taste - The most prominent note seem to be blueberry skin which provided the tartness. Next, I detected the tea and lavender which provided a floral background for the blueberry. The black tea really dried things out nicely. The overall profile was pretty mild, not overly acidic.

Mouthfeel - The feel was definitely bubbly, but not aggressively so. This lent itself well to the dry finish.

Overall - The brewer’s sour program is both unique and tasty.

18 March 2020 - Beer #52

Corona Day #6

Price: $21.99 on Tavour

Appearance: 3 - kind of a murky dark reddish-brown. Zero head. No action. Inert.

Nose: 4 - no sourness comes through, nor much fruit. I get plenty of tea for sure. Herbal tea, like maybe with cinnamon.

Taste: 4 - yep, straight up herbal tea. Celestial Seasonings Wild Berry Zinger! I just nailed this. I win beer reviews for today.

Mouth: 4 - nice acidity, and gets frothy as you chew it. Nicely brewed.

Overall: 4 - I don't usually like tea beers, but this one is quite nice.

Stay safe out there, team.

Cheers!
