Deep purple tone, nearly black with ruby highlights. Two fingers of purplish pink foam, slightly hazed.
Aroma is acidic, lemon, oak, blackcurrants, mild Brett.
Big blackcurrant flavor, very tannic and acidic, with a vinous dark fruit core, soft vanilla rounds the edges and lingers slightly in the aftertaste. Medium bodied, moderately sour but somehow less so than others from Une Anée. Thankfully not too much vinegar. A pure fruit expression, similar to a Pinot Noir. Pairs well with a washed rind cheese.
