Getting into the party is one thing. Getting out when the time is right is another. Our American IPA comes on strong with four types of aromatic hops and the right amount of bittering, then smoothly makes its way to the exit, lingering only in your memories.

Taste: tropical fruit citrus hops, some bright bitter and slight sweet. Stone fruit and bright hopped nose. Golden hue, mostly unfiltered with tall foamy head and ringed lattice. Maybe a little grainy.

Look: Pours a hazy orange color with a subtle pink hue with a good foamy head that fades quickly
Aroma: Aroma of grapefruit, citrus, and tropical fruit. Minimal hop bitterness on the nose.
Taste: Flavor of grapefruit predominate followed by other citrus and tropical melonfruit. There is a black tea presence as I've noticed with other mosaic hopped beers.. It evolves into a candyfruit sweetness is present that is appropriately washed away with a dry bitter finish. Mild bitterness comparatively. Flavorful and delicious. Some malt presence of sweet bread.
Feel: Body is lighter. Well-carbonated with a cleansing hop bitterness. Decent-bodied, but not too sticky or heavy.
Overall: This is a well-made IPA. Not sure what four hops are used but definitely a grapefruit presence. The candiedfruit sweetness is well balanced by a dry finish. Definitely lacks bitterness, so not your west-coast IPA, however contains and respectable body and has enough bittering hops to balance out the strong citrus flavors. Overall, I didn't have too high of expectations, but I am respectably impressed by this IPA.

12oz can, undated, poured into a 14oz snifter glass.
The beer pours a dark copper color, amber hues with a light chill haze and a foamy off white head that has good retention and yields excellent searches of soapy lacing. The aroma is fine, lightly floral with a strong grapefruit character, lots of earthy rind with a touch of pine and plenty of sweet, sticky amber malt. The flavors are good, nicely sweet and floral hops, amber grains with a bit of cereal grain as well before the bitterness takes over with strong pine, hop resin, grapefruit rind and earthy grass. The mouthfeel is good, coating and smooth with a nice medium body that finishes easily with a dry bite.
Verdict: A good IPA from Temperance. Pretty straightforward and more classic midwestern IPA, nice bitterness without being over the top hoppy but the malt isn't too powerful either.

Pours a golden amber color with a half finger of bubbly/slightly plump head of foam.
Noticeable malt bill with notes of toffee and caramel, hops add a slightly earthy/spicy note, as well as citrus fruit.
Citrusy, spicy, herbal hop notes with a strong caramel malt sweetness.
Medium-bodied, low-medium carbonation, clean.
Overall, nothing to write home about but worth a try!

12oz can, no apparent freshness date. Towering, frothy, off-white slowly fades atop a clouded amber colored ale. Aroma has a big citrus punch of grapefruit and orange zest with some pine and caramel malt and a bit of pineapple. Bold malt backbone pairs well with juicy citric and tropical flavored hops with notes of orange, pineapple, mango, pine, caramel, honey. Medium body, ample carbonation, finishes not overly bitter for an IPA. Overall, it's a good American IPA. No complaints from me.
