Had on tap. Clear maroon tinted brown body, tan ring. Smell is a ch, ch, ch, ch, ch, ch, cherry bomb! In a sweet way no less with candied dark fruit, dark oak and candi sugar, concerned. Taste was divided in our group, some thought it was a whimsical dessert dubbel (is that a thing now?), I am team cough syrup. Not only cherry cough syrup but very warm too. Feel is super malty but misses the simple complexity the dubbel usually shows off with the yeast interaction, instead it is covered up by sweet booze

Released November 2022; drank 2/6/23 @ the Yarchives.
Mostly opaque brown/orange rust appearance.
A rough pour yielded a small khaki head; a thick curtain of lace.
Oak, cherry cough drops & dill notes in the nose.
Medium mouthfeel.
Oak, dill & cherry cough drop flavors.
A complete misfire; the base dubbel is nonexistent, this is just overbearing wood and artificial-tasting cherry. A full pass for me moving forward.
