Released May 2014; drank 5/27/14 @ Fischman's.
Brown/black hue.
Tan head; decent lace.
Fresh ground coffee nose with a hint of brownies.
Medium thick mouthfeel.
A coffee & fudge bomb in the flavor...zero complexity but a strong showcase for dark sweetness.

24 fl oz. 'BIG A$$ CAN', no canned on date present. I'm not sure why this beer is listed as retired on BeerAdvocate, as this is a relatively fresh can. Anyhow, a new beer to me from SlapShot Brewing Co., this one brewed with coffee from Bridgeport Coffee.
Poured into a clear balloon snifter.
A - It pours a big luscious opaque brown-black body with four to five big fluffy fingers of mocha froth. Head stays for a while, very fluffy and root beer float esque. Moderate strands of big bubbly lacing.
S - Aroma seems to be mostly dominated by the yeast strain used at this point. Bitter roasty coffee comes in second. Smooth and creamy.
T - Taste follows the nose: full-bodied and yeasty. Carbonated. Bitter coffee bean roast / burnt / char. Good crisp carbonation, perhaps a bit of susceptible yeast presence. The creamy cold coffee is nice. Some caramel becomes perceptible as the beer warms toward room temp.
M - The feel is crisp, carbonated, yeasty, medium-full bodied, but easy-drinking with a modest 5.80% abv.
Overall, another excellent brew from SlapShot, this one my first experience with a porter or dark beer from them. I look forward to many more of these Big A$$ Cans.

Old label, bottled 11.5.14. Pretty tasty coffee Porter, more on the chocolate side. Not much bitterness, more sweet. Extremely carbonated! Overall pretty enjoyable, bonus points for the Hawks history lesson on the back of the bottle.

24 oz big a$$ can! Poured into pint glass. Dark brown color, thin head. Taste starts out with a kick to the nuts coffee/nitrous like carbonation. Very carbonated, but nice burnt malt/ slightly burnt coffee flavor. Overall, decent Porter, can't get the nitrous flavor out of mouth.
