Brought this back frok my trip to Liverpool, amongst many others. This is the first one I do not like. I very much enjoy the low alcohol bitters and milds, but this pale ale is not my kind. It falls almost completely flat. With only 3.7% this means watery. I get acetaldehyd but it is not too anoying. However, there is not much else. Some pale malt aroma but I do not want to smell too hard because of the said problem. No taste of the malt just a sharp bitterness. To make this short, I do not like it. If it were dry hopped and had some carbonation, I would not smell the acetaldehyde and it would be refreshing. Drain pour.

Slightly hazy golden amber body with full coverage white head ranging between barely there to about 2mm it s still a good looking beer
Really inviting aromas of barley sugar
Big mix of malt with a slight soapy edge that then kicks into a peppery bitter finish that sticks on the tongue
Easy drinking great carbonation, which can go wrong with bottle conditioning
Classic English pale ale subtle but complex
understated but satisfying
