I visited Hi-Fi a couple days ago while in Redmond, and I'm glad I stopped in. I enjoyed the beer (especially the creativity of Prog Rock, a creamsicle ale), the service, and the vibe of the place -- very music-centric, which I love. Perhaps a small thing, but the music selection of the night was the Big Lebowski soundtrack on vinyl. Who doesn't love that?

There were only 8 or so beers on tap, but what was present looked to be creative. I look forward to visiting again and trying some more of their varieties.

One of the most impressive tasting rooms I have ever seen (big music person) with the woods, counter-top, and seating just all looked amazing. They tend to be more English style with their beers (at least when I visited) which is not my favorite but having the flight I found most were decent to good for the style. Had a bit of fun with the server and locals so it is a very welcoming place. If you're going to Black Raven, hit Hi-FI first and walk to BR to avoid the parking issues they have.

I stopped by here on a rare trip to Redmond and decided to check out an new brewer that was off my radar. The space was extremely new, pleasant and open with tables along the front and a long bar fronting 6-8 taps. You can view a portion of the brewing tanks through a large window along the West wall. I was immediately greeted and offered tastes of the beers I had questions about. I tried an English pale, a ginger pumpkin beer and what they described as a "low alcohol Imperial stout", claiming that it had a the flavor and fullness of an imperial without the high ABV. The sample was, indeed, very flavorful. I liked all three tasters and ended up getting a small growler of two of the beers I tried. Hi-Fi does not serve food, but is open to bringing food in from outside. I intend to do that next time as I found the place comfortable. There was no one else at the taproom while I was there, so I got a complete tour of the brewing facilities and explanation of the equipment. There is quite a bit of enthusiasm and brewing knowledge here. Black Raven, a few hundred yards up the street was having a bottle release so may have diverted customers from here on this day. Redmond is a ways off my beaten path, but I will certainly stop by here again. The beer seem more than worthy and I will be reviewing the beers I brought home over the next few days. Recommended.
