A: Pours with a slight haze. A dark orange/copper color. A two finger white head forms with good retention and lace left behind.
S: The nose is simple, citrus, pine and resin with grapefruit. Some sweetness and a pungent hop aroma.
T: Big citrus, grapefruit, pine and resin. Some caramel like sweetness. Peppery spice and lingering bitterness.
M/O: A medium to full body. Crisp carbonation and clean. This has a big bitterness and a relatively big ABV for the style. While that keeps this from being something I can come to again and again, still a well made IPA that I enjoy.
In that Racer 5 IPA vain that is all but fading away. In that sense, this is really well made. The bitterness takes over in the finish a little to much for me, but something I can still come back to when in the mood. Cheers to keeping the "old" styles still alive.
