This beer ticks all the right boxes..... looks really good, hoppy on nose, full bodied, and then... you add in some sort of Rye Note, that is just plain wrong. The whole experiince then becomes disjointed, astringent, hugely bitter in a bad way.

poured from 500ml bottle into pint
L - cloudy amber with hints of rust. Good 2 finger off white head that hung around for a few minutes
S - Big pine notes from the hops up front. I might be able to convince myself there is a bit of malt back there, but the hops dominate. Nice.
T - Nice hops up front, but something a bit harsh in the rye in the finish - a bit harsh and dominating. Not sure about it, it isn't bad, just a bit disjointed
M - Smooth with good malt backbone.
Overall a nice beer, but the harsh rye (I think. something harsh anyway) on the finish is disjointed. I still like this beer a lot, but a bit of tweaking and this could be fantastic
