-ambier beer, could be anything
-fresh, lemon-y bread followed by tropical fruit, notably pineapple
-taste - spicy due tp being a rye beer with a malty, toasty taste. The scent makes me think I'm about to drink an imperial Anchor Steam but the taste is brief tropical into rye. I'm not complaining, love the rye
-feel - dynamic. Goes from openly spicy rye to tropical to finishing a coated rye feeling
O - a good beer. Overpriced at 24 bucks a 4 pk. You could sell this at 18 I'm sure but maybe rye prices are up. Who knows? A great rye IPA. I'm always down to drink a rye-based beer.
note: this was an 8% version. Not sure if it changes, but it has gone up in ABV

Pours a rich, medium gold with some head and ample carbonation. The smell is typical of a hazy actually with a fruit juice hop aroma. The taste was different from the tester on tap, which was fruitier and more floral but not very rye forward. The rye is very present in the canned version with the aforementioned fruity hops, ample malt, dry and crisp with a nice flavor profile overall. I’m a sucker for rye beers and this is a nice double IPA and it’s 8 % now not the 7.5% listed

A: Hazy orange/gold with rich head and sticky lacing.
N: Citrus, honey, hops, tropical, and some pine notes.
T: WOW! This is a world class Rye DIPA, beautiful hops flavors, nice citrus notes and some lighter tropical flavors mixed in. Love the grain/rye notes just a malty goodness thru this beer.
M: Medium
O: Wow is this easy to drink and so refreshing. By far one of the top beers I had, one of best from AZ.

this is a bangin' rye ipa, big enough in stature for the rye to be flavorful and for the hops to be bitter, without the two elements interfering with each other, yet it is also not so heavy in alcohol and density that its too much to drink a few of, a really nice weight and flavor balance here for sure! a little hazy on the pour from the tap, pushing copper colored, but a but lighter than that, with a short but lasting white head. aroma is really hoppy, both bitter and leafy vegetal, with some intense zesty citrus notes to it, and a flash of oily honey sweetness too. the rye is dry and pale and familiar, but there is a lot of it here. the flavor is nice because the rye malt is very bold here, i am curious about what percentage of the grain bill it accounts for, maybe 40% or more, its really prevalent in the flavor. the other grain seems to be just pale barley and a light crystal, but its an excellent build for this hop complexion. bitter all the way, but also with a quick was of tropical fruits and a citrusy finish, all very fresh and juicy. fuller bodied but well carbonated, this bitterness nor the rye spice linger much at the end. a drinkable and satisfying, extremely flavorful ipa that incorporates the rye malt as well as any i have had in a while. nicely done!
