watermelon in beer is really hit or miss for me, usually its too juicy and sweet, and even if it tastes naturally derived, its not a flavor that i think often lends itself well to most beer styles. i really like it here though, its obvious yet also somewhat subtle in here, as much rind it seems as flesh, as there is a nice vegetal bitterness and tang to this along with the fruit itself, and its really pleasant with the mild acidity developed in this beer, refreshing and summery and clean, really understated and well done overall. always exciting to have new beers from these guys, its rad to have them around colorado a little bit now. hazy and frothy from the tap this one, washed out straw color, super pale, and an aroma of clean citrusy lacto sourness, insanely mild in flavor by the way, the fresh melons, lemons, and a bright saltiness that i really like. the wheat malt is simple and rustic in the flavor, an arizona ingredient and a unique one. the melon is nice in here, its really natural and it works great with the wheat. a cool floral element too. majorly clean finish to this, nice carbonation, and it just seems better made than a lot of these, nothing cheap about it, not too sour, just right. i have been loving all the arizona wilderness stuff lately, glad i tried this!

Cloudy golden yellow body, one finger white head, not much lacing, good retention. Smell is classic sea salt and lemon, mild lactic acid, touch of that watermelon sweetness. Flavour brings out even more watermelon flavour, nice sweet watermelon tempered by the sea salt and mildly lactic lemon, nice tartness and clean crispness. Lighter in body but not lacking for flavour, nice carbonation. A perfect lake beer.

One of the best fruit Gose's I've had. Great taste of salty watermelon with a nice balance of sour acidity. All blends together very well. Only oddity is a slight smell of smoky farts on the nose. Not that unpleasant actually but pretty odd.

Pours a cloudy straw color with no real lacing and no retaining head. Poured from a 32oz can.
Aroma is surprising full of watermelon. Not watermelon candy, but more like a freshly picked slightly dirty watermelon. A bit funky on the nose with some wheat.
Taste is full of watermelon flavor. Plenty salty with a nice sourness. Incredibly refreshing. Very drinkable and unique. Carbonation is a little weak, but overall really good stuff.
Overall, the gose style at AZ wilderness is probably my favorite style they cover. It genuinely tastes so much like what they boast and the flavor is not artificial. I see this pairing well with Korean fried chicken and pickled vegetables. It gets a 87.5/100.
