A collaboration beer with Tired Hands Brewing Company, as well as Welcome Chicken + Donuts who constructed waffles that play well with the Belma and Simcoe hops, maple syrup, lactose sugar, and biscuit malt we used in this creative recipe.

Excellent caramel flavor overrules this well crafted IPA. Sweet but still hoppy, the perfect mix of sugar and bitter. Pours a hazy golden and has caramel undertones when wafting as well.

Pours a murky orange with a tan foam head. Nose is a mix of citrus, floral and sweetness. Hints of brown sugar and sticky maple and sweet doughy malt, nice hoppy bite of citrus and floral to help balance this. Creamy silky body with a nice hoppy bite to finish.

One of the uglier beers you'll see, like the watery contents of a paint brush rinse jar, almost clay-colored. Nose is sweet and boozy and hoppy, not unlike the palate. Take away the ridiculous appearance and heavy body, and the taste/smell are ironically (given the appearance and obvious desire to do something "unique") a lot like a Stone imperial IPA - sweet, boozy hops. I assume all that sweetness is the maple/waffle batter, but who really knows. Not as waffley as I feared, and not revolting in any way, but it's just too messy and intense to be anything other than a novelty.

Deep gold in color and cloudy with initially alot of head that settles to only a little. Nice lacing as well.
Nose is hoppy, malty, sweet, bready, and maybe spice.
Taste sweetness and malt up front, citrus, and strong hops on the finish.
Mouthful medium to heavy and creamy, with average carbonation and a dry finish.
A nice collab with Tired Hands but it seems more like a west coast IPA, specifically AZ wilderness Refuge with a tremendous amount of malt and sweetness. The upside for me is just that, sweet malty goodness. The downside is the lack of waffle flavor, maple syrup, cinnamon. Considering Tired Hands is kinda known for their "milkshakes", one would expect a similar beer. So all that being said, remove the waffle idea and you get a super drinkable IPA that has very nice qualities. Am glad I got try this.
