California Lemon Law is a Lemongrass Saison made with California lemongrass and Arizona Ponderosa lemons from Steadfast Farm, matured in French oak with brettanomyces.
Bright lemongrass, soft herbal notes and a light Brett funk round out this refreshing saison. A perfect beer for warm, sunny Phoenix afternoons.

Bottle share, courtesy of Kyle. Pale golden, hazy, tons of citrus. Lemony for sure. Light and airy. Citrus, mild tartness, lemon zest, zing. Some saison yeast, behind the citrus.

Received in a trade.
A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a nice hazy golden hue with a thin one finger head that fades to leave light wisps.
S - Aromas of excellent lemon grass notes, bright citrus, lemons, very nice white wine notes. Fruity, super light brett funk with excellent saison notes as well.
T - Taste is similar to the nose very pleasant lemon grass notes along with some solid lemon aspects. The wine has that nice buttery oak from the barrel, nice fruity white wine grapes.
M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, crisp, good body.
O - Overall this was a very solid farmhouse. The lemon grass is super pleasant, very bright.

Thanks to rudzud
Decent fizzy bubbly head, super hazy bright sunrise orange color, decent lacing
Nose big lemongrass ave orange zest, sweet orange peel and type Meyer lemon like, big sweet white wine, like pinot grigio or sauvignon blanc, touch souring fruity, saison wheat grist and phenol spices, mild buttery oak in the background
Taste little sweet, blond malt and wheat, tart fruity esters and little sweet candy lemon, grassy and mild lemongrass, little zest, some buttery oak and little fruity white wine, little tart funk saison and fruity ester stone fruit. Finish dry little flemmy tart, more white wine.
Mouth is med to light bod, little flemmy big carbonation.
Overall fun, good parts but taste fell off from the awesome nose.
