this beer doesnt really fit the mold arizona wilderness has cast with most of the rest of their portfolio, which is to say that this is odd because it actually does fit a style mold, where usually they ignore or smash any conventional style boundaries. strange to taste one of theirs thats so straightforward and in line with normal style expectations. this is well made beer, but it seems less inspired than i am used to from them. bright warm sunny golden color witha tall white head and perfectly clear, looks the part alright. high tone belgian yeasty esters green the nose, lemongrass, tea, white pepper, and taffy all come to mind, with more fruitiness like green pear and golden raisin in the taste, this is pretty much entirely yeast driven, but it does have a little body to it from the honey type malt, a little residual sweetness extending it pretty far, and just a faint trace of its alcohol power. nice carbonation and a constantly evolving yeast spectrum keep it moving and interesting enough, but this is not my favorite from these guys, as well done as it is, its missing that special element the rest of their stuff all seems to have...
