i have so much to say about this one, on tap in colorado, a brewery i love, so of course i jump on it, but for me, its a rare miss from these guys. a tomato and chile beer in the vein of a michelada or something. i dont want the base beer to be sour, although i think it is, maybe a gose type or something, this cant all be acid from tomato, like, i get some of the not quite clean lacto element, acidic in that way, not sure it works. similarly, its too light for what it is, i need some grain body here, some grain flavor too, rye would have been good, but its almost inconsequential on the beer side, which is never a good thing in my book. i want more tomato too, it seems light compared to the chili, and there has so be some salt in here, which doesnt quite enhance it the way i want it to. i think the idea here is far cooler than the execution as a result, although i do appreciate the effort. there is some light chili warmth here, but overall, with all the ingredients, i think this is over flavored, which on the one hand i dont mind because its not that good, but on the other, bolder is better sometimes with these things. a weird but forgettable one from these guys unfortunately...

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
