Had on tap. Brownish black opaque body with a tan sudsy collar. Smell features coffee, dark chocolate, maple, vanilla, and faint char in that order of intensity. Taste is similar with the coffee being more dry and gentle, coming back to the pack to meld with the chocolate, well balanced flavors. Feel is smooth but there is a level of booziness that is omnipresent that adds up, breaking through the serenity of darkness.

A: Jet black with a rich tan head and very thick lacing.
N: Lots of coffee, some char, chocolate, and some sugar/maple notes.
T: Massive coffee flavors with a great chocolate softness and a light maple mixed throughout.
M: Very clean and easy drinking for ABV, flavors are just amazing, zero bite.
O: One of my favorite Breakfast Stouts to date, just a pleasurable beer to drink. OUTSTANDING!!!!

LOOKS: Jet black with a small tan head that settles to a ring. Nice carbonation when I rock the glass. Mild lacing.
AROMA: Nice big coffee, dark roasted malts, chocolate. Vanilla is there, and I'm hoping for more maple in the taste.
TASTE: Picking up the lactose. Dark roasted malt, a wee bit of char, mild chocolate, vanilla in the aftertaste, and just a hint of maple overall.
FEEL: Very nicely carbonated; prickly. full bodied, a bit sticky up front, and finishes on the dry side.
OVERALL: It's a really nice brew, and I'd love to try it on tap. Maple is detectable, but, not prominent.
