Massive billowy pillowy white head sits atop a light yellow with a hint of orange. Like pineapple juice or pureed banana.
Nose was initially bits of coconut and pineapple and banana and like mango. Lots of tropical fruits emanating here.
Jumping in to the flavour definitely brings forth many of the same notes: pineapple, banana smoothie, hint of candied coconut, and an almost chalky character that I get in a lot of NEIPAs. This one is kind of between a hazy and a brut, as it has the soft mouthfeel and physical appearance of the hazy, but also the unmistakable champagne finish and dry ending of the brut.
Sabro is a really interesting new hop, and it's well used here. I'm not always a big fan of either the hazies or the bruts, but if you like either of those, and like sabro, I think this one will appeal.
