20 month wood-aged blend of 35% Tequila and 65% French oak barrels conditioned for 3 months in package. Brewed with Sycamore leaves and bark from Aravaipa Canyon lending tannins and notes of black tea to complement dark sugar and caramel.

Pours dark brown from the bottle with a cream colored collar. Balsamic vinegar with tart dark fruits lead the nose with plenty of wood and a somewhat funky black tea note. Taste is very pungent, decently funky, but the fruits and wood come across a bit acidic for me, the woods do stand out uniquely though which is neat. Feel reflects this too, it as if the bottle needed time to age, very young feeling.

Appearance: Arrives a translucent cola color with a one finger cap that fades to a ringlet; spotty lacing
Smell: Tart dark fruit and caramel with oak tones
Taste: Dark fruit, tea and caramel forward with building tartness; Tequila and oak complement the finish
Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation; puckery
Overall: A fantastic twist on the Oud Bruin style with the Tequila handled deftly
