Thanks to rudzud for sharing
Pours a large foamy frothy thick tan head (thanks to a vigorous pour) with great retention, soapy lacing, fair legs, very dark basically black color
Nose brings loads of chocolate and cocoa nibs, milk chocolate and earthy sweet raw sugar like sweetness and maybe molasses notes, bit of earthy raw vanilla beans, not much coffee just a faint sweet coffee, marshmallow nougat, fudgey
Taste again loads of chocolate, creamy milk chocolate, chocolate ganache, cocoa nibs, fudgey, a little roasted coffee but sweetened coffee but really light, sweet perception but not actually overly sweet, the raw sugar and maybe molasses like, vanilla takes a while to come out but it's eventually there, light vanilla and earthy, med bitterness, creamy lactose and marshmallow notes, sticky sweet finish but not cloying
Mouth is med to fuller bod, med-high foamy carb, very little warming acohol
Overall not bad, lots and lots of chocolate, vanilla is OK but not a lot, and coffee was very low, perceives sweetness but not too sweet. Really just needs more coffee

Received in a trade and shared with JLindros.
A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a nice dark brown almost black hue with a fat one finger mocha head that fades slowly to leave mocha lacing and thin wisps.
S - Aromas of enormous chocolate waves and really sweet raw sugar. Some lighter vanilla sweetness intermingling with the lactose. The coffee element is super, super subtle...like a faint coffee milk. The adjuncts are pleasant but I wish the coffee was more prominent.
T - Taste is similar to the nose with more rich chocolate and sweet milk chocolate. The sugar is very, very up front and aggressive but it doesn't really get cloy. The vanilla and lactose are pleasant and creamy. Still though the coffee as rather hidden and provides only some background bitterness.
M - Mouthfeel is lightly creamy, smoooth, alcohol hidden nicely.
O - Overall this was a solid enough imperial milk stout. The chocolate and sugar is very strong and assertive. The only real knock here is the lackluster coffee element. I wish the coffee was more assertive, or at least on par with the other elements of the beer. Still, glad this isn't as cloy as it could have been.
