On tap at brewery:
A clear golden body sustains an off-white head. Lacing is fair, and the cap lasts fairly well.
Nose is lightly bready with a crisp grain aspect coupled with a grape and light floral hoppy aspect. Key word is light, the nose isn’t jumping out of the glass, and the non-German noble hops lend a more fruity impression overall.
Taste has a light toasted bread, a bit of a dry grassy bitter hop presence, and a little floral uplifting flavor. The taste and the nose are a little less aggressive than a typical German Pilsner, but have a few key aspects that keep it from being out of style.
A little light on the carbonation, it’s also not quite as dry as I’d like. The switch of hops acts to lighten the medium light body and slightly sweeter notes.

Pilsner brewed with New Zealand hops. Clean and crisp and the tropical fruit characteristics of the NZ hops definitely work in a good way. Probably more of a summer beer but I enjoyed it on the first real fall day in the DMV.
