On tap at brewery:
Pours a clear amber gold, with a sustaining white head and a fair lace presence.
Nose is honey sweet with an earthy herbal counter that merely dampens the honey notes. There’s a light grain and unfortunately a bit of popcorn.
Taste is sweet, but not as much so as I get used to it. The mead aspect provides a strong base for this, with floral herbs countering without much force.
A sweet, slightly sticky feel.
Obviously not a style I have much experience with, but started off very sweet. It seemed more tame by the end, but still had a bit more sweetness, nearer a mead than a combination for this beer guy.
