L: Poured from a growler to a pint glass. Had a medium brown color and a thick, opaque consistency. There was a half inch of foamy, off white, somewhat long-lasting head. Fantastic lacing.
S: A very nice aroma of malt, vanilla, caramel, spices, and hops.
T: Tasted of a tinge of vanilla, a good shot of caramel (more than expected), lots of sweet malt (present throughout), a bit of hops (not too much, though), and some cinnamon as well. A surprisingly sweet and thick flavor. They definitely dumped as many sweet elements as they could in this, but in general it works. The high ABV% is well-masked.
F: An average amount of carbonation with a sharp finish. Medium-bodied.
O: An enjoyable, easy to like barleywine. Worth a try.
